It's been an interesting, tiring, exhilirating past few weeks. The job at the pharmacy is awesome and I hope to have my pharmacy technician certification through my company by the time clinicals begin in August. I am pushing myself to learn as much as possible since I want to take the National CPhT test on November 22nd. Working at the pharmacy also has other perks -- getting a jump on patient care AND a jump on learning pharmacology since one of my first clinicals is "Pharmacology for Nurses."
I'm sitting outside right now as Bella is napping. It's overcast today so it's not too hot outside and there is a nice breeze blowing the interesting scents of confederate jasmine, roses, tomato vine, and honeysuckles into my face. I'm out here on the porch sitting next to the bedroom window -- so that I can both see and hear my sleeping angel -- typing away on my brand new Sony Vaio! My Dad sent it to me yesterday and I am so in love!! He also sent a wireless router, so I'm on the net ... without having to lug a CAT5 wire around behind me.
I love my DAD!!
I also got another cool, new toy (or should I say toys) this week. I got the LG TROMM washer and dryer set. That set freaking ROCKS! I actually gave the stacked set a hug after the delivery men left on Wednesday. All I want to do now is sit and type online while watching my new appliances do laundry. (You so have to go to homedepot.com and check them out...)
I am in heaven this week!!
Bella is getting so big ... we took her to Jacksonville, Fla. a couple of weeks ago to see her MeMaw and to meet her big cousin, Kristen, who was visiting from up North. We had a blast playing on the beach at Amelia Island. Bella took to playing in the surf like a duck to water. She loved jumping waves and collecting sea shells with Daddy, Aunt Melissa, Kristen, and MeMaw.
Since it was near finals, I tried to play, but I ended up sitting on the sidelines with my nose in my antaomy & physiology text. It paid off, as I aced my final in there and ended up with like a 97 for the semester.
Well, it's nearly 4:30 p.m. and I need to go to the bank and then to Wal-Mart to get a couple of things. Bella has a case of Mexican food poopies (LOL) so I think that we're just going to do something simple tonight like pasta and bread, but I still need to get some groceries.
Ciao~
