Home Alone Day Two

Wow ... this is going to take some getting used to. :( I'm still freaking pregnant (grrr...) and my little princess is having a ball at her Fine Arts school. Even the cats are doing their own thing. I've already gotten quite a bit done today. I got Bella up and off to school. She was excited because I found an old bird's nest and bagged it for her to take to school to add to the "Nature Table." (I found it when I was trimming the hedges yesterday). She was also excited about her lunch. She watched this morning as I cut a fresh cantaloupe and packed some for her, along with some white meat chicken nuggets, BBQ sauce for dipping, a bottle of mineral water, a Kool-Aid-to-Go pack, and two sticks of string cheese -- one to eat and one to share.

I had mowed the front yard and put the yard debris by the road just before dark yesterday, so when I got home, I mowed both sides. I still need to do the back yard, but it's too hot outside now to do that. The back doesn't really need it, but I figure that I might as well do it, too so that the entire lawn is uniform, ya know? The yard people picked up the lawn debris a little while ago, so my front yard looks wonderful. I need to finish my "rock garden" this afternoon, though.

I actually have a lot to do today, so you'd think that I'd be taking care of that list instead of pouting about the kiddo being away.

Today's To-Do List: (Items already done are in orange)

* Pack Bella's lunch

* Take Bella to school

* Make beds

* Finish mowing lawn

* Take leaf blower and clean walkway and driveway

* Call dentist to make an appointment

* Mop kitchen and bathrooms

* Get a shower

* Pick Bella up from school

* Return books to the library

* Go to weekly OB appointment

* Hit the park

* Clean playroom (it is a DISASTER area!)

    * Do laundry
    *Fix dinner
    * Clean kitchen
    *Work on "Household" book (with chore charts, calendar, budget info, etc.)
    * Vaccum all carpets
Sigh...

On a cute note, the cats have found a new perch, LOL ... I moved Andy's "clip shelf" (where he keeps pages on which his stories have run) by the closet in a corner. It seems that my big, old 18-pound cat loves the top shelf! Too cute. I am sure that those newspapers will be all over the floor in a few hours. Andy was right ... I should have left the unit in that side closet... I just thought that this would be more convenient. Back to the drawing board.
Anyway, I'm going to go. I still have some things to do before I go pick the kid up from school. I just wanted to check in and let everyone know that the baby is still hanging in there ... and so are we!

Love, Hugs, and Go Gators!
