Sunday morning update before Mass

It's a little after 6 a.m. and I wanted to post a quick update to let everyone know that we're still waiting. Which, in all honesty is a good thing. The longer that Anna is in the tummy, the better off. We're around 32-and-a-half weeks right now, so another week-and-a-half would wonderful.

The Celestone made my glucose levels spike, so I have been sleeping a lot over the last couple of days. My levels never seem to get above 80. Even after the routine glucola testing, it was low. I have even had levels as low as 35, which sent me to the hospital. So, getting a shot that spikes your levels up to over 230 takes it toll ... especially when they bottom out again. So, Thursday evening I felt punk and then slept through the night in into the afternoon on Friday ... only to feel "normal" about the time I had to head to get shot no. 2, which had the same effects. Heck, I didn't start feeling normal again until late Saturday night.

Thanks to the bedrest and the punkish feeling from the glucose highs and lows, I missed the baseball game that I'd been wanting to go to for a couple of months ... they were having a free jersey give away to the first 1,000 through the gates. Andy and Bella got to go, though. Bella is sleeping in hers right now.

I did get our hospital bag packed, cleaned out Andy's car and placed the extra car seat base in there, sent out a mass email putting everyone on alert, and contacted our insurance company this week. I was also tickled pink to finally get that Sit-N-Stand LX Galaxy stroller that I been wanting, too. That thing ROCKS. Woot, woot!

What else ... oh! Bella had her first gymnastics lesson today. We took her for a trial class to see how she would like it. She had a blast, so it looks like she will be taking the cheerleading/gymnastics class this Fall. It combines cheering, stunts, and gymnastics. She has always been enthralled by those collegiate cheerleading competition that they show on ESPN and she absolutely loves watching the Gator cheerleaders at games, so this class will be right up her alley.
We're not sure if we're going to do dance again. With Bella starting the private arts school in less than a month, and the weekly gymnastics classes, we're not sure that there is time for a third activity. We don't want to overwhelm her with too many activities, you know? We're undecided but will have to make a decision soon ... sign ups for dance start soon, as does the sign ups for gymnastics. Plus, I'll have the baby and will be the one carting her to all these things. Is it selfish to limit her to one or the other?
Well, I need to hit the shower. Mass starts at 7 a.m. I know that I'm supposed to stay in bed, but I don't feel right missing church, even if dear old Kerri calls it nothing but "RCC lies and propaganda." (You'd just have to read the plethora of ignorant, anti-Catholic garbage that she has posted on my old Bravenet blog, both in the tag board and in reply to posts ... Lordy. Satan has a firm hold on her blinders it seems. I know of only one other such bull-headed, "Jack Chick is a genious," anti-Catholic bigot ... and she is blood related!) It matters not to these people that the Catholic Church was THE only Christian church until the split with the Eastern churches in the 11th century. It matters not that they owe the Catholic Church for the fact that they even have a Bible to brandish about. It matters not that their own beliefs stem not even from the Reformation, but from post-Reformation men. They realize not that Protestant belief is a freaking avalanche of misinterpretations, a diversion from the Truth that has Satan's handprint all over it. Oh well ... it is not for me to convert people. That is God's job. But it really does irritate me when the likes of the anti-Catholic bigots take it upon themselves to spread their lies and venom. Argh!
Ah, well, time to prepare to head to my "heathen service," Catholic Reference Bible in tow, pondering the baptism service that I'll have for Anna in December and just who her Godparents will be. LOL ... have a wonderful day!
