Get your Christmas cards ready NOW!

This weekend work on your Holiday letters and Christmas cards. I know, I know, "It's too early! Thanksgiving's not even here yet!"

Well, I have a very good reason why -- a North Pole cancellation stamp.

I've been doing this for a couple of years now and love it. Here's what you do:

* Sign, stamp, and address all of your cards and letters the way you normally would.

* Put them all in a large envelope and seal it.

* Take it to your local post office and mail this package filled with cards to either the North Pole, N.Y. or Fairbanks, Alaska post offices (address below).

Every year these post offices receive a ton of mail to be forwarded during the holiday season just to have that "North Pole" cancellation stamp on the envelope. The earlier you get your letters and cards out, the earlier they will arrive to your family and friends with the a jolly North Pole cancellation!

This is especially fun if you have kiddos and want them to get a letter from Santa!!!

The information for both post offices is below. I prefer the Alaska post office, but the choice is completely up to you! (And no, it has nothing to do with Gov. Palin! I like the Alaska one because it's easier to believe that Santa would be in North Pole, Alaska rather than North Pole, N.Y.)

Happy Christmas everyone!
