P.U.P.P.P. rashes, cool E-Bay wins, and countdowns

It's Sunday evening and we're STILL here waiting! I know that it's for the best because we're approx. 34 weeks along, but after being told, "You could deliver THIS weekend!" back on July 24th, after being put on bed rest and jabbed in the butt with painful steroid shots, you begin to kind of go ... "OK! We're ready!" You have that initial panic, that initial adrenaline rush. We spent 36 hours rushing to get things ready -- finishing the little shopping we had left to do, packing the hospital bags and putting them in the car, alerting friends and family ...

Then we waited. And we're still waiting. Good grief!

I'd like to keep Anna in another couple of weeks. An August 27th delivery would be awesome. :D It's all in God's hands, though, so we'll stop worrying and try to be patient.

We do have a good sign, though. I have a history of P.U.P.P.P. rash during pregnancy. I don't get it on my belly like most women, I get it on my legs. Imagine the worst, itchiest rash you've ever had. Now imagine that nothing really relieves it -- not Benadryl. Not Claritin. Nothing topical. Then put that rash on every inch of skin between where your legs join your body and your ankles. The rash appeared last Monday on a small area near my right knee. It has now spread all over both legs. I have not slept well nor have I really been able to leave the house. I've been sitting in the recliner wearing short shorts (well, Andy's boxers to be honest), putting ice-cold compresses on my legs, applying Gold Bond Medicated Cream and Hawaiian Tropic Cool Aloe I.C.E. with Lidocaine gel (not together, mind you!), and scratching and scratching and scrathing. I know, I know, you shouldn't scratch, but darn it, I can't help it!! I didn't even make it to mass this weekend. The good news it that it appeared a couple of weeks before I delivered Bella. So, childbirth is coming soon! Woo-hoo!!

According to my original, late September due date, we've got 46 days left, tops. Watch me go into labor on Sept. 20th. While I certainly hope that I've delivered before then, I fear that I will go into labor that day. You see, I am an animated football fan. When I was in the sports department of The Greenville News way back when, I was just as bad (if not worse) than most of the copy guys. And, I am even more animated during two games each season -- Tennessee and Georgia. We play those nasty ol' Vols on Sept. 20th ... IN Knoxville. It'll be a dirty game, a stressful game. I will be yelling at the TV, using words that a lady really should not use. At least I can scream at the TV to my heart's desire if I'm in labor. I can blame the profanity on the pain, right? LOL...

Oh! Before I go, I wanted to brag about four really cool things that I won on E-Bay this past week.

My husband is going to love the Philadelphia Eagles items that I won
for Bella and for Anna. And the Aerosmith outfit is going to ROCK on Bella. Oh, and I got a hat. (LOL...)

I love E-Bay!
