I am not a patient person.
After being told that "YOU COULD GIVE BIRTH ANY MINUTE!!," being poked in the butt with steroid shots (which really hurt like hell), and being taken out of work to be placed on bed rest, I am irritated. Yes, I am happy that Anna is still in the womb, where she should be until the end of August at the earliest. I am not happy just sitting here doing nothing. I'm not getting any cleaning done, I am not getting any pre-baby preparations done. I am not outside engaging my four-and-a-half year old. I am not generating any income. I am just reclined back here converting Oxygen into Carbon Dioxide. Yay.
I am waiting by the phone with baited breath, waiting on my OB to give me a call letting me know the results of the tests from yesterday revealved and whether or not they will agree to let me return to work part-time, even if with further restrictions.
I did venture out this morning to get groceries since all we had left in our fridge were a couple of $1 Banquet meals, a half-gallon of milk, and some butter.
Bella and I both are feeling low today. I also have bronchitis, and I fear that she, too, is coming down with the funk. I just took my antibiotic and an ounce of cold/cough medication. Bella is laying around, too, complaining of a headache and stuffy nose, she she's getting ready to get a dose of medication, too.
Oh well ... I'm going to turn the computer off and read a chapter of "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone" to the kiddo. She really loved the Bunnicula series that Andy read to her and has asked me to start the Potter series.
So, we're going to lay here, ignoring the gorgeous day outside, and read. And perhaps take a nap. She did, afterall, get a new "WALL-E" pillow case at Wal-Mart this morning and is dying to see how well it sleeps.
